Moderator Guidelines

Duties of Moderators for Black in Jax Anime Group

1. Enforce Group Rules:

   • Ensure all members adhere to the group's rules and guidelines.

   • Address and correct any rule violations promptly.

2. Facilitate Positive Engagement:

   • Encourage participation and engagement among members.

   • Initiate and participate in discussions to keep the chat active and welcoming.

3. Conflict Resolution:

   • Mediate conflicts between members and provide fair resolutions.

   • Handle disputes calmly and impartially, escalating issues to admin if necessary.

4. Welcome New Members:

   • Greet new members and help them feel welcome.

   • Provide information about the group's purpose, rules, and activities.

5. Provide Assistance:

   • Assist members with questions or concerns about the group.

   • Guide members on how to use chat features and navigate the group’s platform.

6. Monitor Member Conduct:

   • Keep an eye on members' behavior and ensure they respect each other.

   • Take appropriate actions against members who repeatedly violate group rules.

7. Collaborate with Other Moderators:

   • Communicate regularly with other moderators to ensure consistency in rule enforcement.

   • Share insights and strategies for improving group management.

8. Report to Admin:

   • Keep the group admin informed about any major issues or concerns.

   • Provide regular updates on the state of the chat and any significant incidents.

9. Encourage Inclusivity:

   • Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates African American culture and anime interests.

   • Ensure all voices are heard and respected in discussions.

10. Stay Informed:

    • Stay updated on group policies and any changes in rules or procedures.

    • Participate in the mod chats.

11. Code of Conduct:

    • Represent the group with respect and integrity.

    • Refrain from bullying, using your role negatively, sexual harassment, physical assault (no weapons, boxing gloves, etc) and discrimination.

    • Violations will result in an immediate ban.

Things to Remember:

• If a moderator is inactive for more than 30 days without prior notice, their role will be reassigned.

• Refrain from recruiting BIJ members into group chats, Facebook groups, or any external platforms. Additionally, avoid creating groups with a likeness to BIJ. Failure to comply will result in the loss of your moderator status and removal from the group.

• Understand that this position is completely voluntary. Feel free to resign from these duties at any time.

• The head of security, Marcel Butts will address any safety concerns. He will communicate exclusively with Larry and Laia regarding immediate threats.
